My mission is to provide personalized, high quality care. My passion is helping individuals achieve optimal speech, voice, swallowing and breathing function. After completing my academic work, I was on the faculty of the Northwestern University Medical School working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital seeing inpatients and outpatients with speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive disorders. I participated in dysphagia research under the guidance of Jeri Logemann, PhD, graduate student supervision and dysphagia workshops for practicing SLPs. After leaving Northwestern, I worked at a number of area hospitals and opened my private practice. From 2004 to 2014 my practice included work in the office of Children's Asthma Respiratory and Exercise Specialists.
As a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist, I explore every possible resource to help both children and adults achieve their goals. By taking a personalized approach tailored to your individual needs, I can help you improve whatever communication, breathing or swallowing
issue you may face.
I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Speech and a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders - Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University. I am past president of the Chicago Audiology-Speech-Language Association and hold professional memberships in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Buteyko Breathing Educators Association and the National Guild of Hypnotists. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, running, swimming, biking, and practicing yoga and Pilates - preferably all with my husband and three children.
